1. PROCESS

  • At a Special Congregational Meeting on March 28, 2024, the preliminary plans for the new temple building were shared with the congregation as a whole.

    After an enthusiastic discussion, the motion to move forward was adopted without objection.

  • The congregation delegated the authority for Project NextDor to the NextDor Leadership Team, which will allow for expeditious decision-making moving forward.

2. FUNDRAISING

  • Our fundraising efforts have been even better than we had hoped.

  • We have now raised $7.6 million, toward our goal of $11 million.

  • We are still waiting on decisions from some of those who are likely to be major supporters, including several prominent foundations.

  • We have expanded the role of our Campaign Consultant to include exploring foundations outside of the Tulsa area.

  • We are preparing to “roll out” the campaign to the entire congregation.

3. TIMELINE

We are moving aggressively on three fronts simultaneously.

  • We have asked our architect, Finegold Alexander, to proceed with the underlying work for schematic drawings.

  • With our real estate consultants at Legacy Commercial Property Advisors, we are beginning conversations with the potential buyers they have identified for our property.

  • We have selected and retained one of the leading real estate attorneys in Tulsa to lead both our negotiations with the potential buyers of our property and the conversations with the City of Tulsa which will be necessary as we move into the engineering phase.
